I thought I will do a #fotd ( face of the day ) post today. Yesterday night was just one of those nights when one feels like doing the whole glam-shabang.
You know what I mean, when you wanna spend an hour or so just doing your hair and make up. Make up is my numero uno vice. I love it, applying make up on myself and on others brings me a lot of peace and creative satisfaction. So basically I’m one of those girls who either will not make the slightest effort to look even presentable, I mean either you will find me in my track suit+converse+high pony tail, the complete non fuss look or else you will find me all dolled up. So there is just no middle ground/path.
So whenever I do decide to wear a full face of make up I leave no stone unturned. I then enjoy each and every step of it. I have always preferred to highlight and focus on my eyes more than any other feature. I spend the maximum time doing my eye make up and everything else I wrap up quickly in 5 minutes. I guess that’s pretty much the case with everyone ( right? ).
So here are a few pictures of the products I used and the look I ending up wearing on my face.
I hope you guys like the look and the products I used to achieve it 🙂
This year I discovered my love for easy- breezy, super comfy cotton Palazzo pants. Why haven’t I been wearing them all these past years? I love how they fit -PERIOD. Palazzo pants cannot go wrong on anyone. They make your waist appear slimmer, hug you butt in the most perfect manner and then flare out to give your legs a lot of room to breathe. I have been pairing them with almost everything in my closet- be it a long shirt/ a tank top/ a long kurta / short kurta…
I paired my cotton printed palazzos with a simple sleeveless black kurti and to add some structure to the outfit I threw on a sleeveless cotton waist coat o top. I had to do a lot of running around on the day I wore this outfit, and what can be better than a pair of stunning leather Kohlapuri’s to make your feet look good and feel comfortable.
As for my accessories I wore my favourite antique silver necklace which I had picked up last year from Jaipur.. I love this piece of jewellery, it is so stunning! along with that I wore my gold coin ring and carried my Zara messenger bag. My newest obsession is to pair all things silver and gold together. I love how that looks.

Fridays are all about casual dressing and why shouldn’t they be, friday’s mean the weekend is officially here and it’s time to put on your most amazing and casual outfit to give a fabulous head start to your weekend. What can be more casual and laid back than a super comfy pair of Converse All Stars . My love for them has never reduced but somehow I ended up side tracking them for a few years. ( What was I thinking? right !) I recently bought a new pair and have been wearing them at every chance I get.
I adore the denim-on-denim trend so I threw on my deep blue denim jeggings along with a light blue denim shirt, I put on my converse and carried my newest obsession – the black and sliver studded messenger bag. ( it’s so sexy, I love it !!)
Here are a few pictures of my casual friday #ootd.
if any of you are interested in purchasing some items from this outfit, I have listed below the direct links I could find online for some of the items from this outfit. All the items cannot be listed down with the direct links because some are from local trunk shows/ flea markets in my city. I have tried adding the location details for the same . 🙂
If you are an Indian then you exactly know what I’m talking about. It’s that time of the year again people, when there is a slight nip in the air, the onset of autumn and the festivities are in full swing. For as long as I can remember, Diwali has been my favourite festival out of all the countless festivals Indians celebrate. According to Hindu mythology Diwali is celebrated because lord Rama and his brother lord Laxman along with goddess Sita (Rama’s wife) returned home after a 14 year exile and after winning a rather trecherous battle against the most evil demon ‘Raavan’. It is celebrated by lighting candles, diyas and fairy lights. The entire city lights up to celebrate the auspicious day.
For me Diwali time means lots of get togethers, dressing up, eating a gallon of sweets, drinking lots of wine 😉 , a whole lot of laughter and basically just spending time with family and friends and having a gala time.
Here are a few pictures of me all dressed up for a Diwali party;
You can call it an epiphany or a revelation, but suddenly yesterday I realised that it’s such a treasured feeling to truly have a ‘good day’. Like when, from the moment you wake up to the minute you hit the sack, you felt nothing but just happy and good. Yesterday was one of those blessed days of my life. I was just in a happy mood all day long and somewhere mid-day it hit me, how rare it is to have a really really nice day. A day in which you didn’t have a care in the world. So I guess, what I’m trying to say here is that as you go through life you really start to appreciate the little things.
For Daughter’s Day, our mother gave us the best gift. She brought home a little female Lhasa-Apso pup. She is the cutest little thing in the whole wide world. We have named her coffee because she is all shades of brown. She has been with us for three weeks now, and everyone in the house adores her to bits. So basically yesterday morning also started, like all other mornings these days, with the sight of her adorable face. I played with her, and she chased me all around the house. Post which, I decided to pamper myself. So I put on a Neem mud pack and while it dried I gave my make up brushes a long over due and thorough clean. In the afternoon I fixed myself a plate of food and while coffee had her afternoon nap, I watched a matinee movie on T.V. In the evening my sister came back home and we decided to step out for a walk. We bought some groceries and a bottle of wine. After returning home we made dinner. I cooked Red Thai Curry and my sister made rice to go along with it. As, Daniela Andrade played in the background, we sipped wine, chatted away and enjoyed a yummy meal. This is all I did on a lazy lovely Saturday. So all in all I can say, It was a very very good day.

She seriously has a gifted voice. I find her music to be very soothing and romantic. My favourite songs by her are ‘Dark Coffee’ and ‘Don’t care’ .
